I get this.

Code: Select all
make: *** No rule to make target 'distclean'.  Stop.
louis@videobauer:~/kdenlive/src/frei0r$ ./autogen.sh

You must have libtool installed to compile frei0r.
Download the appropriate package for your system,
or get the source from one of the GNU ftp sites
listed in http://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html

I read threads on opencv being otudated, that didn't do it. I can install frei0r from apt but compiling it via the daily build script fails on Debian jessie.

Most discussion related to this dates back to 2012. Is there any reason with newer builds for this to be occuring?

the command output suggests you to install the "libtool" package needed for this build

I've apt-get install'd libtool, but same thing. It asks for the appropriate version, but what is "appropriate" in this context, and what is not appropriate about my version of libtool?

Any idea what the appropriate version means? I've tried several versions of libtool and it always results in the same message. On Gentoo, this error did not occur, only on debian(jessie, and unstable).

Do need to compile it? You could run a daily build version which is already compiled.
