Hi,
My first post so hello everyone! I'm relatively new to Linux (refuge from Apple) but I have been using Kdenlive happily for a while on Ubuntu 14.04LTS(just 'vanilla' Ubuntu with Unity desktop). But today Kdenlive seems to have disappeared from my system! Software Update did update a number of the KDE apps I have installed (mainly Kontact), I wonder if this is related? On trying to re install I get the following error:
Can anybody help? I was really enjoying Kdenlive and have some projects in it I really don't want to abandon. With thanks, Steve |

that error makes no sense as 14.04LTS should have KDE 4.13 packages, do you have libnepomuk4 installed, if so what version?
could you have issues with the ppa's you set up? |

Thank you for your reply!
I don't think I have got it installed, although not sure how to check that via terminal (as I said I'm very new to Linux)? Searching for that package in Ubuntu Software Centre doesn't indicate that it is installed, and when I try to install it I get the following message:

I don't run Ubuntu so I can't be of a lot of help, I would suggest posting on the Kubuntu (or Ubuntu) forum as this is a distribution issue
not sure why you would need nepomuk as in either 4.13 or 4.14 baloo superseded it at some point did you add additional ppa's before the last update? can you tell which version of KDE you a running? in an app just click Help -> About KDE can you tell from which ppa Kdenlive is attempting to be installed from? mayybe you are running a newer version of KDE and trying to install an older version of Kdenlive |
