Hi all,
As I'm having a lot of trouble with Kdenlive 0.15.04 (unstable, extremely slow, crashing, saving problems, ...) I decided to try the old version which worked well for me. It seems I have to install 0.9.10 from source to have the older version but I have trouble doing so. I used the Kdenlive build script (http://www.mltframework.org/twiki/bin/view/MLT/BuildScripts), but I get an error regarding 'lame'. A (maybe?) similar problem occured a few years ago: https://kdenlive.org/forum/source-compile-error-lame-mlt-build-scripts-method. The complete build text can be found at pastebin: http://pastebin.com/XSBxXcdH. PC specs: HP Pavilion dv5000, Ubuntu 15.04 with Gnome desktop Processor: Intel Dinosaur® T2400 Centrino Duo (2x1.8GHz) Graphics: Nvidia Fossil® GeForce Go 7400. I don't really understand what's going wrong, could someone give some directions to get kdenlive running again? Best, Arne |

I suspect it all starts to fall apart w/ this:
xmm_quantize_sub.c:65:18: warning: SSE vector return without SSE enabled changes the ABI Are you on a 64b machine? I'd start w/ this link: https://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-us ... 21393.html |

I think you should try sunabs "release old" PPA. It has 0.9.10 https://launchpad.net/~sunab/+archive/u ... elease-old |

Blue Fox,
may 15.08.x be a possible solution to you? I'm on Kubuntu 15.04 and had many issues with 15.04, yet could not use sunab's ppa as it is compiled against stock ubuntu 15.04 without KF5 updates. But compiling Kdenlive directly from sources got me to a stable version again, and I'm doing new projects now with Kdenlive 15.08 current, which is the stable branch. |
