Hi,
i am a Newbie to both LInux and to Kdenlive video editor. Can anyone just suggest the nature of my problem so I can get started? 1. I have Linux Mint 17.2 installed. It functions perfectly with other software so far. 2. I downloaded Kdenlive along with the data files from the Software Manager. This tells me Kendlive is installed and it shows up on the GUI menu under Audio and Video. 3. When I start the program I eventually reach the main screen but several of the menu items are replaced with the words 'No text', 'No text' etc. There is no 'File' heading for example. 4. If I try to click on any menu item or add a file etc, the program instantly closes. (everything just abruptly disappears) 5. I have uninstalled the program (from the Software Manager) and reinstalled it to see if this made any difference. I even installed the 'Proxy files' data to see if this made some difference, which it didn't. Please could someone tell me what is the likely problem here or whether I will be able to overcome this problem by doing a download and installation from the terminal instead? Or do I require Ubuntu rather than Linux Mint 17.2 to run this? Thanks for your help and patience with a 'Newbie'. |

For a "newbie" this is a fine issue report, I'd say!
I tested the livecd and could reproduce the issue: https://youtu.be/gyxXQ4bBuag Do the solutions at viewtopic.php?f=269&t=124095 help you? |
