I have the exact same issue as here,

with the difference that i m running manjaro linux (based on arch ) with xfce desktop.

I installed plasma-workspace but i m not too familiar with kde, and the new kde-5 stuff..

can someone tell me if i miss something out? do i have to use the kde desktop to have it working properly?

And 2nd: I cant drag&drop the effects from a clip to another anymore.. the effects just stay put and wont be copied.. anyone else experiencing this?

BTW: kdenlive itself runs like charm, so when the buttons are back i ll be very happy

EDIT first part SOLVED:

i found this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=69230
and installing kdebase-runtime did the trick!

(before i was looking for kde-runtime and couldnt find it ;( )
