Kdenlive 15.12.3 shows 15.12.2 in GUI

gnowak Registered Member Posts 44 Karma 0 OS	Kdenlive 15.12.3 shows 15.12.2 in GUI Sun Apr 10, 2016 6:26 am I have upgraded to KDEnlive 15.12.3, but the GUI still shows 15.12.2. pkg -s kdenlive Package: kdenlive Status: install ok installed Priority: optional Section: video Installed-Size: 5712 Maintainer: Ubuntu Developers <ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com> Architecture: amd64 Version: 4:15.12.3+git20160302~ubuntu15.10.1 And the cli shows 15.12.2: kdenlive --version kdenlive 15.12.2 I used this repository: https://launchpad.net/~kdenlive/+archiv ... ive-stable /Plantsugar Ⓥegan youtube. Vegan Consultancy Services , Linux backend servers, R-project, Logistics, Data Conversion, Drupal Websites and Upgrade to Drupal 9, Excel/VBA.

Try 'apt-cache policy kdenlive' in the terminal to check what ppa was used, and what version was installed.

I am running 16.03.70 because of a major bug in 15.12.2 and 15.12.3. 16.x is the way to go at this point I guess. Of course, living on git master only makes sense if you trip on bugs, then create meaningful reports, so the devs can fix them quickly. Kdenlive 16.04 really brings a lot of improvements, especially in the user interface and user interaction. It also squashes a lot of bugs.
