Hello,
I just updated my Kubuntu, to xenial (16.04) / Kdenlive update at the same time (16.07)...

I see there is not movit integration inside all version (testing/master/etc...)

I still have many project (in production) with this GPU effect, is any people have a solution, to let "movit" back ;-)

Hello,
This might be an MLT packaging mistake, I will check this this evening.

;) I didn't fix it, but found something about my problem.

I am a AMD GPU, if I remove my AMD video card and use my intel GPU -> GPU effects back's and working
With this new version of (k)ubuntu, the AMD open source driver is include inside the distribution,
and working very well for many program (blender/kde composition) or games (tomb raider/ biosock).

Then... maybe something is missing ... I'm checking!!!! :-\

NO.... not working with Intel GPU too. :o :o :o

In fact Movit isn't activated inside all 16.04 - 07 kdenlive version.

Need to Wait a update.
Advice . Don't upgrade your kdenlive if you have project in production...

Hello,

I didn't understand as it "worked for me"...
and actually MLT 6.x links to Ubuntu's Movit only on Xenial.
Maybe Vivid's and Wily's are too old, I should upload upgraded packages for those.

I found a :-\ :-\ solution ...

To let GPU effect / and Movit work, i have to start kdenlive inside a Terminal like this "LC_ALL=C kdenlive".
and it's working well! 8-) 8-)

If I don't do it
this message appear inside the program:
Cannot initialize Movit's GLSL manager, please disable Movit

this message appear inside the terminal:
OpenGL vendor: "X.Org"
OpenGL renderer: "Gallium 0.4 on AMD PITCAIRN (DRM 2.43.0, LLVM 3.8.0)"
OpenGL ARG_SYNC: true
OpenGL OpenGLES: false
Movit system requirements: Needs at least GLSL version 1.30 (has version 1,0)
+ + + + Error initializing Movit GLSL manager

Thanks *a lot* for this track : you can note that GLSL version "1,0" is causing a problem to Movit...
This is the thing to solve (working around Movit -> MLT -> Kdenlive :-\ )

After many week, the message is the same : --> Movit system requirements: Needs at least GLSL version 1.30 (has version 1,0)
BUT if I ask in the terminal: --> glxinfo | grep OpenGL (I am using the good one 1.30 version)

OpenGL vendor string: X.Org
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on AMD PITCAIRN (DRM 2.43.0, LLVM 3.8.0)
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 11.2.0
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.10
OpenGL core profile context flags: (none)
OpenGL core profile profile mask: core profile
OpenGL core profile extensions:
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 11.2.0
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
OpenGL context flags: (none)
OpenGL extensions:
OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.0 Mesa 11.2.0
OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.00
OpenGL ES profile extensions:

The only working solution, is tu use Kdenlive in English --> if i use the program in French NO GPU MOVIT working....
There is not problem for me, now i only have to start with "LC_ALL=C kdenlive" command.
