hi,
I'm currently using 15.12.3 version of kdenlive and I would like to test 16.* but I don't want to stop my current projects. Is there a proper way to test several versions at the same time? I've seen there's an appimage on the way, and I'm already familiar with compiling from source, so any solution is fine for me as long as I'm able to run different versions. thanks in advance |

procedure in https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Development/KF5
installs everything in "INSTALL_PREFIX=/your/path/of/choice". there is also the build script from MLT repo that does similar things: https://github.com/mltframework/mlt-scr ... denlive.sh |

thx for the info.
I've been able to compile with provided script. for future testers, these are dependencies I've found in my ubuntu 16.04 xenial (could be others that I've already had on my system):
once installed all these I changed INSTALL_DIR variable at begining of script and all went fine. |
