Hi,

Running windows 10 fully updated, just downloaded latest zip for 17.12.0
unzipped per instructions on web
downloaded the additional ffmgpeg and copied over bin and presets per instructions
rebooted / restarted
also running latest vlc

But no matter what sort of file I bring in, it wont peview/play it: h264, mpeg, etc
Just goes super slow & stops in kdenlive
plays fine in external players like vlc

Config wizard suggests libx264 and vlc arent available

Any ideas? thanks

to add - I moved the install. it was in C:\Users\Johno\Documents\kden\kden-live17.12.0
is now in C:\Users\Johno\Desktop\kden

this made these differences:
1. it will no longer let me import any files. It says all videos are invalid
2. if I open a prior project it will play the imported files; is a pretty jerky but does play
3. any file that will play, is flagged as invalid if I delete / readd per 1
4. took ages to start, and brought up config wizard, again saying no VLC, no h264 codec

we are waiting for the 18.04 Windows release... maybe this week Vincent?
