Windows 32bit Support

Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:43 am
Hi,

Just a quick question regarding Kdenlive for Windows. Does the software run on 32bit versions of Windows? I'm starting a video editing class for students at the school I work at but we're still on Win7 32bit!

Thanks

All Windows 32 bit systems can handle a maximum of 3.2 Gbytes of RAM.. and Windows automatically LOCK RAM usage to 1.2GBytes/1.6GBytes to any (single) thread (not much for an high-quality rendering) ... i think that any PC with Windows 7 32 (excluding ATOM dual cores) can manage properly the 64 bit version... you can't switch these PCs to a 64 bit OS? (do you have specs of these PCs?)
