Hello,

My intention is using kdenlive portable, because I'm on a locked down machine (no admin rights).

So I've downloaded kdenlive-19.04beta-git180104.exe

Startup after unzipping was:
Fehlende MLT-Module: sdl oder rtaudio
sind für die Audio-Ausgabe erforderlich
Fehlendes MLT-Modul: avformat (FFmpeg)
ist für die Audio und Video erforderlich

I've put ffmpeg and sdl into the lib directory, but no success.

Please advice the neccessary steps, to get portable version of kdenlive running on Windows 10

You used the upcoming refactoring version. This version is not for production at the moment.

The stable version 18.12.1 comes unfortunately with an installer but it’s in principle a portable version. Let me see if I can upload a portable version of 18.12.1.

Can you link me to the the portable 18.12.1 also please. Had trouble logging in but managed

The EXE is the installation version.
Give me 2-3 days; I have to check with the Dev’s.

Thanks. What does in principle portable mean. It needs to go to C:\program files\. Does it write to registry?

The portable you can run inside a folder. The EXE installs inside C:\program files\ (you can run without Admin rights). Both versions don’t made registry entries.

I get clip is invalid and wil be removed when i try to open an mp4 and also mkv file

Another mp4 has sound and no picture. a jpeg has no picture

windows 7 64 bit

there is a new Windows BETA release (19.04) ... i'm using it on my PC (not tried in "portable" mode) and seems nice: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/unstable ... 190321.exe (it's necessary to change the STYLE TYPE to "windows")
