Which distro for kdenlive?

Mon Apr 29, 2019 11:20 am
Hi all, new user and first post here.

I was looking for a tool to be able to edit ts/mpeg4 videos and landed here.
My main system is a win box but also use Debian vm's for some server stuff + RPi's.

What is the best distro for a fairly recent i3 / dual core +HT / 4GB / SSD system?
I noticed that for Debian there is no recent, stable release so I'm willing to try something else.
From a review that I've found, Slackware was used but development stopped at 2016 so maybe not the best choice.

TIA

It really doesn't matter, as kdenlive's appimages work anywhere, and has the latest builds.

Any *buntu should be fine, as there is a PPA repo with current KDenlive. I imagine many distros also probably have similar options.
KDE Neon has the latest version automatically, as will the rolling-release distros like Arch and derivatives.

So, really, pick one, grab the appimage (in most cases), and go ;)
