After you ran the sudo apt update, you then need to install Kdenlive.
Command: sudo apt install kdenlive You can also use the snap version without addinga a ppa. snap install kdenlive |

I have now kdenlive version 17.12.3 as it appears in ubuntu software.
According to Kdenlive website the last version is 19.04 (https://launchpad.net/~kdenlive/+archive/ubuntu/kdenlive-stable) When I execute "sudo apt install kdenlive" I get: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done kdenlive is already the newest version (4:17.12.3-0ubuntu1). 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded. How can I install the latest version? Thanks |

Hello,
If you read the page from you 1st link, you can see that PPA doesn't address anymore 18.04 LTS, due to too old Qt. So you should download our AppImage (see the website download section). Cheers! |
