Hi !

I was trying the new 20.04 appImage of kdenlive, but it fails to start.

here is all the log I could find:

Code: Select all
    $ ./kdenlive-20.04.0-x86_64.appimage
corrupted size vs. prev_size in fastbins
    /tmp/.mount_kdenli6lVYIH/AppRun : ligne 26 : 14607 Abandon                 (core dumped)kdenlive --config kdenlive-appimagerc $@

or

Code: Select all
    /tmp/.mount_kdenliPT2BNo/AppRun : ligne 26 : 30299 Erreur de segmentation  (core dumped)kdenlive --config kdenlive-appimagerc $@

I don't know how to debug an appImage. I already tried to extract all and run the AppRun file, but I get the same error.

Is there something I can do ?

Thanks

Please delete "kdenlive-appimagerc". See here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration

You need minum Linux 19.04, better 20.04 to run Kdenlive 20.04.

Sorry, what do you mean by "Linux 19.04 or 20.04" ?

I use mageia 7 (with plasma 5.15), isn't that enough ?

looking at mageia develpment schedule the 7 version was released the 30 june 2019... this make the distro something like 19.04...
and the version 7.1 on 31 July 2019
but after that date there was no updates... probably it's necessary to ask on the Mageia forum...

Thank you, but I thought that appImage would work on nearly all linux flavors, as it should have all dependencies in the package.

Am I wrong ?

About Mageia, there is one big update each year, so Mageia 8 should be released this year.
