For Windows 10 I am confused which should you download and install, the Standalone or just the install download why is there two versions?

Hi , on Windows world from +10 years there are 2 kind of applications.. applications that require installation.. and applications that are PORTABLE (usually pirated softwares... but there are also a lot of free apps... like Ccleaner... Autoruns... Gimp.. hddscan.. utorrent ... emule... some antiviruses... etc.. etc.. ) the stadalone version is a portable one.. this mean that you can place it on a usb-drive.. or on a external drive (or just have multiple versions of the same software on different paths)

i usually use the "installation" version because i want to be sure to have administration rights for my user to have access to clips or saving folders.
