If a new version is released of kdenlive, will kdenlive update itself on windows?
Or do I need to remove the old version and install the new version manually by downloading it from the website?

II was also wondering if all kdenlive's settings are gone after installing a new version?

I use windows 10.

For now we don't have a system to check & apply updates on windows, so you must download latest version on the website.
Some day (this year? hopefully) we will complete the process to be on windows store, then we will see how updates go...
