Hi,
I am asking for your help concerning KdenLive 21.12. I am working in a highschool and a teacher asked me to install this soft on several computers. We use Win10 on our clients computers and we also use a domain with AD and GPOs. To install the soft, I am using an domain admin account. Everything goes fine. But as soon as I launch the soft to use it, on the version screen, I got this error : "Kdenlive.exe stop working. An issue have caused the end of the program. Please, close it." I have already search on this forum and on the documentation, trying different patchs but without any success. The strangest thing happened when I attempted to launch the software with an local admin account. On that case, the soft is running smoothly. With my domain admin account, I have of course access to C: with R/W privileged. Here is what I found using the events manager : Nom du journal :Application Source : Application Error Date : 03/01/2022 14:31:48 ID de l’événement :1000 Catégorie de la tâche 100) Niveau : Erreur Mots clés : Classique Utilisateur : N/A Ordinateur : ************************************** Description : Nom de l’application défaillante kdenlive.exe, version : 0.0.0.0, horodatage : 0x00000000 Nom du module défaillant : ntdll.dll, version : 10.0.19041.1288, horodatage : 0xa280d1d6 Code d’exception : 0xc00000fd Décalage d’erreur : 0x000000000001b4bc ID du processus défaillant : 0xeb4 Heure de début de l’application défaillante : 0x01d800a636e37f39 Chemin d’accès de l’application défaillante : C:\Users\*********\Desktop\Kdenlive\kdenlive-21.12.0_standalone\bin\kdenlive.exe Chemin d’accès du module défaillant: C:\windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll ID de rapport : 9d851e01-30cb-4126-ae3f-12f1a085ceef Nom complet du package défaillant : ID de l’application relative au package défaillant : XML de l’événement : <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2022-01-03T13:31:48.4879765Z" /> <EventRecordID>3467</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="0" ThreadID="0" /> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>*************</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>kdenlive.exe</Data> <Data>0.0.0.0</Data> <Data>00000000</Data> <Data>ntdll.dll</Data> <Data>10.0.19041.1288</Data> <Data>a280d1d6</Data> <Data>c00000fd</Data> <Data>000000000001b4bc</Data> <Data>eb4</Data> <Data>01d800a636e37f39</Data> <Data>C:\Users\**********\Desktop\Kdenlive\kdenlive-21.12.0_standalone\bin\kdenlive.exe</Data> <Data>C:\windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll</Data> <Data>9d851e01-30cb-4126-ae3f-12f1a085ceef</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> </Data> </EventData> </Event> Any help will be appreciate. Make sure that all users have r/w rights to the following folders:
• %AppData%\kdenlive\ • %LocalAppData%\kdenlive\ • %LocalAppData%\kdenliverc : contains the general Kdenlive settings • %LocalAppData%\kdenlive-layoutsrc : contains the layout settings • %LocalAppData%\kxmlgui5\kdenlive\kdenliveui.rc : contains UI configuration, if your UI is broken, delete this file • %AppData%\kdenlive\.backup : automatic created backups Do also make sure no GPO is blocking the access to these folders. This may help but we do not know of a similar problem in the past. |

Hi,
Thank you for your help. It was indeed a issue about rights. With a domain user account %LocalAppData%\kdenliverc was different than the one set in a local user account. So we use a .bat to copy the functionnal kdenliverc to the previous folder. With that, the soft is working on our environnement. Best Regards, Adrien |
