Hello. I've been dealing with Python for about three years now, and I've always used text editors to handle my needs (a combination of kate and vi). However, since I'm starting to learn PyQt (and PyKDE as the next logical step), perhaps an IDE wouldn't hurt (especially with multi-file projects, since I'm a messy person).
Do you have any suggestions? I thought of KDevelop, but its Python support is not good enough.

I had thought about Eric, but it was a little clunky for my tastes (mostly, it's a little slow). I'm just trying to get a view on what's available (*if* there is something available).

Normally I use vim or gvim with a few tweaks, but I tend to lose track of the files.
