Here is a nice tutorial about actions: http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tut ... g_KActions
It uses the document-new button, but it is easy to change. The icon you maybe are looking for is named media-playback-start.png

KDE tries to follow the xdg icon naming spec from here: http://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-n ... atest.html
Other than that you can go to the directory of your icon set and see how they are named, without the ending .png

The tutorial mentions it but doesn't IMHO emphasis it enough:

if there is a KDE Standard action (KStandardAction namespace from kdeui) or a KDE Standard Gui Item (KStandardGuiItem namespace, same library) it should be preferred over using a direct name lookup.

They have additional advantages like standard string, shortcut, etc.

Cheers,
