Hello =)
I'm very impressed with KDE4 and waiting for stable releases of it for gentoo. But new KDE style looks little strange for me, though. Can you answer me, why text in labels under icons is with different offset? O.o Example with ruler: http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/75/123123fq7.png (I'm not about selected icon, don't warry) End second question is why text labels under icons is not centered in selected yellow box? (see example above). Sorry for my bad english =) I need your answer. Thank you.

This is the case for the active icon. You don't need to hover with the mouse over it, a simple TAB is all.

As I wrote above, I'm not about active icon.
Please, look at the last icon (Kopete) and first (OpenOffice) and as you can see, text in OpenOffice icon is above ruler for a pixel, not like in Kopete icon. And what about second?

It appears that you are correct, even though only by a few pixels, "Game" is a good one to show this. Do not know why this is happening.
Might be worth filing a bug that the position of text changes from when they had never been selected to after they had been selected ( not when they were selected though )

Tested it now. Just for you to compare, here it is under my KDE4.1.3 system:
And as second shot my recent trunk system: So i cannot really confirm what you see except for the activated icons (maybe i am blind today...). For the second part. As you maybe see they are centered as long as the name isn't too big for the box. Then they are left aligned. But i guess that is also a part where work is going on. |

Neverendingo's pictures seems to indicate that:
I can confirm this actually, I screenshotted my system just know and got the similar results.

Now i see what you mean.
Yes, this is also reproducable under trunk. After some testing i am pretty sure the difference is between items fitting into the small box and items bigger than the box. Can you confirm that too? Would be worth a bugreport, at least to see if it is expected or unintentional behaviour.

Even I seem to be able to reproduce this, so this definitely is a valid bug.
Please file a bug report at http://bugs.kde.org for app KRunner. Also, don't forget to add a link to it here. Thanks |

And what about horizontal positioning of a text in the yellow boxes?
And it is not only KRunner problem, though (later I'll check it).

Which other applications are affected? It needs to be filed under the correct component to get the problem solved.

Was a bug filed aganist KRunner for this item positioning issue? If it was, could you please post a link to that bug for future searchers to track? Thanks in advance.
