I want to write a program which connects to a server viva telnet.

After the connection is established, server and client communicate with special commands.

No I want the client to do some things:
First it should give the user read/write access over a small terminal/console.
Second, the program should also be possible to send commands viva the connection.

I think this could be solved with KParts and Konsole.

The client should also be possible to read the responses from the server and maybe suppress some output. (Maybe have even control over want the user types/sends)

Is something also possible with Konsole??

Well, there isn't a GUI to do everything you could think of, but there is a utility called "expect" that which something similar to what you want.

No, expect isn't what I want.

I want to write the client ... I'm not looking for a complete tool/GUI.

My question is just, what is the easiest way to write the part of the client which communicates with the server.

I read some APIs, Tutorials and wrote some test programs now. It seem that Konsole::Part doesn't do what I want.

So, is it possible to add something like a "KonsoleWidget" to my application??? (I really don't want to implement such a widget on my own.)
