Hello,
I developed 2 programs that use plasma theme, icon theme and wallpaper to build a splashscreen for ksplash, and a theme for kdm. The source code of these programs can be found at kde look: Ksplash theme generator Kdm theme generator I would like these features were integrated in kde, but I don't know how to do that. So I turn to you for ideas and advice. |

I'll risk to bump this, but this idea is great. I just tried it on KDE 4.6 and it worked great with elementary icons but didn't capture the desktop background nor the cursor for KDM, displaying some ugly artifacts (I want to guess it's because the cursor isn't in roots directory?). Otherwise, the splash is fine (just black background instead of the image i have set).

I didn't maintain this code because it is a big work arround. KDM and Ksplash need to be rewriten. Shaun Reich tried to rewrite KDM using plasma but it doesn't seem ready for prime time. If you want help, the source code is here: http://websvn.kde.org/branches/work/kdm-plasma/ |
