Don't create blobs!

Mon Nov 16, 2009 7:59 pm
I always couldn't imagine, why Microsoft creates blob, like Front Page. In my opinion the people have profession, the profession need more knowledge, but covering smaller amount of word.

In other words, we need more specialized tools - not next blob. I'm watching on KOffice and seen, KDE developers understood that idea, but there's also another tool designed to doing every think!

I'm waiting for your opinions.
Open Source world must provide set of libraries to allow creating GUI's to handling different skills and different tasks.

As I remember, I recently read about animated images/movies support in Gwenview and movies support/odf in Okular.

I think, that ODF shouldn't been modified/part of document marked by Okular.

The PDF standard allows such multimedia content in PDF documents, so it is perfectly nornal that Okular shows movies in PDF documents.
