Hello guys, I've a very annoying problem. I want to code for KGet but I can't use Subversion because of my proxy. Most probably svnserve's port is blocked. I've tried to checkout from http protocol but it failed with error "200 OK".
What can I do? |

It appears that anonymous access to KDE's repository is not available over HTTP. You could use socksify to run SVN through the proxy.

Using proxy and something like that is strictly forbidden in school and I can go to home only holidays (the next one is after 4 months from now), is there another way to do this? |

If you can use SSH ( which in a heavily proxy type environment is usually not possible ) then you can request an svn account for development and use that. Note that checkout only accounts usually are not made available.

Unfortunately, you guessed right. |

Unfortunately, since HTTPS access will no longer be offered by KDE ( since Git will not support it ) there is no way to access KDE SVN.
You could try asking KDE Sysadmin's to make anonsvn available over HTTP also, however otherwise it isn't possible ( unless you use something to route the application through the Proxy such as Socksify, you earlier said this wasn't possible however )

Git will be a problem in future too, maybe I should try convincing my System Admins. OK, I'll try my luck bcooksley. Thanks.
Git is a very good choice by the way. |
