I need Kuickshow coz it can control movements of pics with scroll button and was very simple
I know that it is in KDE extragears but i need it to be with more important packages so that it is available by default. I am using KDE 4.1.2 which works great but needs more. Few other Feature requests: 1. Panel should not have remove or add widgets/panel options, these should be available only on clicking the button (as they are now) at bottom right corner, as it is too easy to mess up with default set of widgets on the panel. 2. Desktop settings should be able to set more features as this is the only option directly available even if all widgets including the panel are removed. 3. Want to browse in folder view. I request just browsing folders in this gadget and nothing else. 4. After splash shows the desktop, It should not load anything. It is very annoying that after few seconds of splash when we see the desktop, it is still loading some icons or widgets. This should be done while splash is still there. 5. There should be an option to set default applications for doing things. Like I should be able to configure defaults for web browser, mail client and even the file browser (choose between konqueror or dolphin which I hate). 6. Improve the looks of Lancelot, and try to make it repkace rhe standard launcher. 7. And the zoom out option of desktop i think is useless. As we already have mettise and virtual desktops for it. Rest, the KDE works great, In starting i was trying to figure things out, frustrated, decided to switch to Gnome, but now I am way too comfortable with it.

You can lock the panel.
Have a look at http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/QuickAccess?content=84128
You can configure default applications in System Settings. Cheers, m. code | cia.vc | donating KDE | wishlist |

Yes, I can, but then I am unable to access panel settings (except add or remove). I am just saying that widget configurationand panel add/remove option should be assigned to Right cashew only. This way new users are less likely to mess up with panel, even if they want to resize or realign it.
Thanks! for this...
No, but I cant configure file browser in that...

A workaround to set the default file manager is to change the association ( inode/directory ). Check in System Settings > Advanced > File Associations.
Go to the inode category, select directory and move which ever file manager you want to the top.
KDE Sysadmin

Thanks man! You really rock. Inever thought I can change file associations so easily.:lightbulb: But this also gives me an error:undecided: There was an error loading the module Cervisia. The diagnostics is: The service 'Cervisia' provides no library or the Library key is missing in the .desktop file. I also tried moving the navigation panel up in services preference order. Anyways I am just happy to have my konqueror back....
Okay moving Dolphin view up solved this Problem
Okay I got answers to most of my problems but my suggestions still remain the same So, I am marking this thread as solved. Thanks all for great response.
