Book recommendations

Mon May 16, 2011 11:10 am
Could someone recommend a C++/Qt book targeted towards people who are already programmers? I'd like a book that doesn't waste too much time explaining basic programming concepts. It sould be a relatively recent book preferable but not necessarily available for free or as an ebook.

I know there are some book listed here. But I was hoping someone might have additional info.

My long term goal is to contribute to KDE. But we'll see.

The Qt documentation, viewable at doc.qt.nokia.com has some examples.

Thanks. But I sould probably start out by learning C++ before I jump into Q. What books do you recommend on C++? I'd like a book targeted at people who already know C.

Update: Well.. I just ordered Accelerated C++ and Effective C++ :D
