Hello,
I have also a problem with speed effect. when setting to 200% for instance, playback is fine but when rendering, my video is very jerky (4/3 avi format). regards Olivier |

Same problem here. The video appears pixelated when I change the speed.

I failed to reproduce the pixelization problem here - maybe it needs more qualification - under what circumstances or always?
Of course, if you speed something up by 200% it is going to look jerky especially with handheld footage. To the original poster, I do not know what you expect. Do you expect something high-end that does motion estimation and interpolation? This effect by design merely drops or repeats frames. Does that description match your results? If so, that is all there is to offer, and you must look elsewhere for something better. Otherwise, maybe it is a bug, but you will need a good way to demonstrate the bug. |

If you are using interlaced video inputs and want to use the speed effect, I highly recommend you choose a progressive output. The speed effect is not aware of interlace and fields. If you choose a progressive output, then the interlaced video is automatically deinterlaced.
