Hello,
What I need seems pretty simple, but I can't make it work :-( I want to start a 10s clip with an image, and zoom the image to get full screen the bottom left part (a logo). I beg I have to use the pan and zoom effect, but how?? thanks jdd |

There is a video tutorial under the Support section of this forum that should give you something to go on:
http://www.kdenlive.org/tutorial/kdenlive-creating-video-panorama It's outdated because it uses the Composite transition whereas in the latest version of Kdenlive you would use the Pan and Zoom effect. However, the concepts are pretty much the same. First, you have to resize your image to more than 100% so that you have some real estate to zoom around in and second, you need to add at least one keyframe, probably at the end of the clip where you would zoom in on your logo. Once you get the hang of it, the Pan & Zoom effect is pretty easy to use. |

well. I could do what I wanted, thanks. However I couldn't add my comment to the video subject, so here it is:
kdenlive 0.7.8, stock openSUSE 11.3: Object: add a still image (wall paper), create a 10s zooming to the openSUSE logo. Open the image, open effects, pan and zoom. create one keyframe at the beginning (if it was not already there), then an other at the end use the <> from the transition options. Open the extra options (small wheel on the transition windows). Clic on "fit zoom to minotor size". go to the last keyframe. Use the resize option (in my case 200%). Place the image in the windows using the yellow frame (not easy). Done. |
