Hi,
as we all know, there's no quick&easy "fade to white" video effect similar to the black counterpart, right ? Of course, a fallback solution is given by the composite transition. But is there an easier/faster (to edit) solution ? Keyframable brightness doesn't work, as the allowed range (up to 300%) doesn't support to turn into white. Any ideas ? Ultimately, I'd love to see the "fade to back" effect being extended into a "fade to plain color", whereas black being the default one. Furthermore, different ramping profiles (linear, exponential, cosine,...) may be supported. Toby |

You can try "Wipe", and customize it to pure white.
That shouldn't be too hard. Your "fade to plain color" is a good idea, I like it |

A little bit simpler would be to use a colour clip (Add Clip > Colour Clip); This way you would not need to create a PNG image.
I will try to look into the fading issue. Would like to have it as well. I usually used a Composite effect and a colour clip with some keyframes to control the alpha value at different points. But an effect that directly does it would certainly be smarter. Btw, you can post links here. (edit: http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=1973) |

Hi,
I'd like to second the idea of "Fade to Color" instead of just "Fade to Black". Any possibility of seeing this implemented in following updates? Thanks, Regards, Hipo |

I use two video track with same video
V1: fade out V2: highest exposure or white Then it'll combine and fade out V1 to white V2 |
