Hello, usually after importing a clip into the timeline and adding a transition effect like Luma to it at the start, it will fade into the clip, but for some reason the luma effect will now show on the timeline but will not show in the rendered file or in either the project or clip monitor. |

Tell us more about FFmpeg + MLT + Kdenlive version. You should always start with that information. Thanks. |

I am also having the same problem, so I would appreciate a solution as this is not an isolated incident. I am using Kdenlive 7.2.1 in Xubuntu 8.10. I am fairly new to Linux, so it is difficult giving some info, but I typed ffmpeg into the terminal and her is part of what I got: "FFmpeg version UNKNOWN-svn15824+3:0.svn20081115-1ubuntu1+unstripped1~intrepid2, Copyright (c) 2000-2008 Fabrice Bellard, et al." I was hoping to be able to give a version number for reference but it doesn't seem to have one, what is partially understandable because the site says it is constantly in development. I don't know how to find the MLT version I'm using so I can't give that yet. But if this is a version incompatibality problem then listing the ideal version for each part of the framework would be in the best interest of everybody. Thanks again for any help in this area.

What fixed it for me was completly removing kdenlive from synaptic, then deleting /home/username/.kde/share/apps/kdenlive. And then installiing it again. |
