I would like to know if there is a way to composite multiple images with transparency on top of a single video. I have tried putting two images in higher tracks that the video and applying "Composite" transitions to them, but I see only the top image without the transparency. If I remove the top image from the timeline, leaving only one image, it works properly and I can see the single image composited on top of the video. Is there a way to do this? If not, is it possible that it will be included in a future release? |

Hi.
Yes, it is possible. Basically, you must put your video file in track 2, and your image files on the upper tracks - 0 and 1 for example. Then, you must add "composite" transitions to your image clips. The trick is that you must change the track in the transition parameter so that all transitions apply on track 2 (where your video is). Then, all images will display over the video. I created a small video tutorial to demonstrate the feature: http://kdenlive.org/tutorial/kdenlive-animate-images-over-video |
