Ahoj!
I want to have a title screen (with text) that fades out during the first scene comes into the background. Now it seems that the fade out 'sticks' to the point where the scene enters the screen on the second track. After that the brightness of the title screen keeps at the current value till the end of the clip. I assume that the fade to black effect is not the right one for this intention? It is meant as 'real black' that is not considered in the composite effect? For now is use the Lume transition, that works for that matter, only the the first scene has a fade in instead of appearing immediately. So, what I'd like to know - is there a a possibility to fade out to nothing (or a scene on another track respectively) instead of fade out to black? thanx, ~klemens version information: kdenlive 0.7.4 on kubuntu 9.04 |

I think you need to add a "Luma" transition ( - now called "Dissolve" in latest svn) at the end of your project. The Luma transition has a "reverse" checkbox that allows you to change it from fade in to fade out.
If I misunderstood, maybe you should attach a screenshot to allow a better understanding. regards |

That might be the point -- how can i add a transition at the end of a project? :)

Right click at the end of your last clip, in the context menu: Add transition->Luma
Then you can resize & move the transition |

It says "Kann Übergang nicht hinzufügen" ("Cannot add transition"). I also tried adding a blank black color-clip as very last one.

Click the Composite clip in the timeline
and add some key frames to the opacity of the transition. worked for me. |
