Green Screen?

Tue Sep 08, 2009 12:31 am
Does kdenlive do green screen stuff? I've got a nice big board painted up lime green and I'm wondering if I could use kdenlive for the greenscreen effect. I see a bluescreen video effect listed. Isn't that the same thing? And how does it work? Are there any tutorials for this effect? I haven't found any yet.
Thanks !

Yeah, you can. It doesn't matter what color it is, green will work. The only important thing is that nothing you want to stay on the video is that color. I haven't played with green screen much on this release, but I did before. I had mixed results. I think my video was too grainy because it was never a clean cut. That being said, I didn't have a large lime green board.

Best of luck,

Add the Blue Screen effect to a clip. Adjust color. Place the background clip on a track below the foreground clip. Add the Composite transition between them.
