Transition dosen't work by Wipe files

Tue Nov 17, 2009 10:11 pm
Hi
I had Ubuntu 9.04 and Kdenlive 0.7.5 before and everything worked fine. After Ubuntu 9.10 and Kdenlive 0.7.6 updating I lost Composite transition by wipe files. All else effects are working well but by wipe files, nothing happens. Could somebody throw tips what I have to do. I have made a lot of videos by previous versions of Ubuntu and Kdenlive without problems. (with some crashes of corse) but in fact they worked quite well together. Now by new versions I have had video problem (green screen during playback, solved), sound cracking problem ( I solved that by removing Pulse Audio) and finally this wipe file problem. HELP!

I can not understand if you really mean using the wipe option that is available within the Composite transition or using the Wipe transition.

How did you solve green screen on playback? I have that problem that did not exist previously.

Well, at least I have no video on playback of a clip for some reason and it happened in the last few days after I thought I had it all working.

The files are mpeg2 from a hard drive panasonic cam. But seems to have the same problem with avi files I have.

Edit: I found the answer here regarding transparent screen during playback under trouble shooting and common problems
