multiple composites over one track

Sun Oct 10, 2010 9:36 pm
I want to add a series of scaled and postioned image files over a track, one each in succession with each one fading in, and then remaining on the track. I need to add additional transitions to the same track. I am creating a video that explains the meaning of 6 different safety symbols. I can create a transition with one symbol scaled and fading in using a composite transition.

I am unable to add additional transitions to the base track, I am just using a simple color track as the base track.

I place a white color clip on track 3, I place an image on track 2, I can create a composite with track 2 &3. If I place an additional image on track 1, where there is already a transition between track 3 and 2, I cannot create a transition between track 1 and 3.

Is it possible to something like this?

I'm using version 7.8. I've noticed the composite dialog has changed significantly since 7.7. Is there a comprehensive reference to using composite?

There is a pull down on the transition for 'with track' and you should set this from auto to the bottom track. In the case of your example track 3. Is this what you attempting?Image
