Ugly wipe transitions

Wed Jun 01, 2011 6:50 am
Hi,

I'm currently rendered a bigger project and discovered, that the wipe transitions look quite ugly in the rendered video. The preview in kdenlive was as expected.

Just a short 3second clip to demonstrate the transition:

I'm using kdenlive 0.8 with melt 0.7.2

what's gone wrong?

After the upload to youtube, the wipe isn't that ugly as in the movie file, so I uploaded it on my own server:

Ah, after looking around in the forum, I found the solution by myself: I have to choose the option "force progressive" in the render dialog (it was set to "automatic") to get proper transitions

have fun, Dets ...

I'm going to give this a try tonight, see if it solves a problem I was having with the speed effect going major jerky when rendering. If I slow down clips, they come out looking awful! Maybe progressive is the answer

Cheers
