I mean when I dump video from my camcorder. Is there a way to know if you get frames dropped while dumping raw video? In adobe premiere you can do it.

Hi ddennedy (or someone who knows the answer ,
first: Many thanks to all developers of this software. I tested it a few years ago, and it is much better now, good enoug now for me to use it I used kinodv until now, but this project unfortunately is dead. What I do is transfer old Super-8-films to DVD, and I do not need much features: The most important for me is a clean recording of my film with live playback of the frames that are captured in order to see fluffs or the correct exposure of the current scene to be able to react immediately. It is also important for me to see immediately if there are any dropped frames, because it is a high expenditure of time to record a film again if I see later that there were some dropped frames. kinodv showed this dropped frames with a counter that should always stay at zero. Therefore my question: That last post with the statement 'Not at this time.' is now 3 years ago - was this feature implemented until now? If not, how could I find a workaround for this issue? And another question: If I press the connect-button, the time starts running immediately, so I cannot see the real recorded length in the monitor window. Is this a bug or a feature? I think it would be better to start the timer at the moment when I start recording. Best regards |
