Hello all
I've made a scrolling titles in this way: 1. I have added title clip 2. added multi line text 3. clicked on animation tab 4. setup start and end screen (start screen above the text, end screen below the text) output from this is obviously scrolling titles, which is nice, but my questions are: 1. is there any way how to make the scrolling smooth as much as possible? is it just a matter of title clip duration? 2. it looks to me that the text during the scrolling is shaking and it doesn't look antialiased. Does font itself matter? Thank you guys for any tips, tricks or other suggestions in this matter which could help me. Martin |

Hello Martin,
I feel your pain. I've posted in this forum about the same issue. http://kdenlive.org/forum/help-scrolling-titles I did not use the animation feature of the title editor itself, I used the Pan & Zoom effect. I don't think it matters. The issues you mention are present with both methods. I did find that I could improve things slightly by using a larger font size and making it bold. I used Droid Sans Bold at 24 pt. and that seemed to make it better. If you apply the Blur effect it almost cures the shimmering problem entirely, but makes the text unacceptably blurry. As Dan Dennedy mentions in my other post, it's going to look very bad if you want to put it up on the web. It doesn't look nearly as bad when rendered to mpeg2. Sorry, I can't offer any better suggestions. |

I have applied bold on the font, which I am using and it looks much better. Thank you very much :)
