Copy one frame over another?

Sun Jun 12, 2011 9:19 pm
Hello,

Is there a way to copy one frame over another frame.

The video I have has some bad frames (bright green). I'm copying some very old VHS tapes. What I like to do is to copy the previous frame over the bad frame so that the error is not that obvious.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Milux.

1. Zoom in to the time line until you can see individual frames, this will make it much easier
2. Put the position slider before the bad green frame, right click and select "cut clip"
3. Do the same after the bad frame
4. Select the bad frame you have chopped either side of and hit delete on your keyboard
5. You should now have a gap of one frame (maybe more if you chopped a few out) in your timeline. You can now fill the gap with the previous frame. So do the same as before, Put the position slider before the good frame, right click and "cut clip".
6. You will now have a good frame on its own which you can copy and paste. Right click on the frame and click on "copy".
7. Then, move the slider to the start of the gap, right click and paste, the good frame will now fill your gap where the bad frame was

Hope that makes sense, let me know if you need further clarification on anything
