Hi,
I have a clip where I would like the last image to stay for maybe 10 seconds before the next clip starts. What's the best way to do so in kdeenlive? Thanks, Markus |

Just set the timeline to the last frame of the clip, then in the project monitor, there is an option to extract frame to image, can't remember exactly where this option is (posting from Windows). You can then just drag that frame into your project and resize as required after your video

Effect List > Motion > Freeze
You will lose your sound, but you can just add another copy of the clip on an audio track to regain the sound. |

It's amazing how you can glean new information from just three short mails.
With audio, I always extracted from the video before placing it to the timeline. I didn't realize you could shove the whole clip to Audio timeline for audio only. How dumb of me. Also, the rather misleadingly named "Extract frame". I thought it meant 'extract' like a tooth, remove it. Now, if it said "Copy frame to file" or as moorsey stated "Extract frame to image" I would have understood that. I'm just too simple minded. I would like to say though, thanks guys. PS With regard to Freeze, the clip freezes but the timeline marches on to the end of the clip, so only moorsey's 'Extract image' would work on the last frame or so. (well, that's how it works for me.) |

normcross is indeed correct that the Freeze effect will only work if there is enough remaining duration for as long as you would like to freeze it.
