I too would need it from time to time that I could move the position of a track, up or down. Moving the content, the clips is not safe, because the position in the timeline could shift accidentally.
My question: Is it possible to move the tracks in the meantime? Unfortunately I have not found a function for this.

in 22.04.3, the track is not movable. Here are two tricks:
1. inserting a new track under the current track means your track is upper one level :)
2. toggle on Snap if necessary, multiple select clips and effects and drag them to the target track.

I was reading this post thinking exactly this ;D

We can manage the amount of the tracks on the timeline so why do we need to move an specific track.
I agree... It's a bit more easy just move the track, but we don't have this feature and still possible to keep everything in the way we want. ;)
