Hello all.

I have a fresh installation of Mint 14 KDE and have installed kdenlive via the terminal using "sudo apt-get install kdenlive" but have a few problems...

- Certain audio codecs are not working. Synaptic says I have libmp3lame installed but when rendering with this profile I have no sound.

- My main problem is I have no effects under the enhancement tab. It seems like most of my other effects are gone as well. From what I remember using this in my previous setup...Mint 13 XFCE. Synaptic says I have frei0r 1.1.22git20091109-1.2 installed. Another thread says to upgrade to version 1.3 for the effects to come back. Is this correct? If so, how do I install a newer version? I am fairly new to linux so I dont know how to install unless its from the package manager or synaptic, with the exception of a few "apt-get install" attempts.
