Using a 'wipe' to switch away from composites

Hi all,

In this kdenlive project:
http://urchin.earth.li/~ian/tmp/composite_wipe.kdenlive
I have a video clip (represented by a red colour clip) and I composite 2 other clips (the green and blue colour clips) on top of it. I then wipe from the composited video back to just the plain video.

The problem is that, in order to do this, I've had to actually wipe to another copy of the plain video. This is a pain, because it means that moving the composited clips left and right is tricky, as the duplicate red clip needs to have its start and end points adjusted too, so that it matches the main red clip.

I feel like I should be able to do this, e.g. by making a transparent image, and compositing the blue/green clips onto that and that onto the red clip. However, I haven't been able to actually get anything that works correctly without duplicating the red/video clip.

Is there a way please?

Thanks
Ian

did you try locking the duplicated clips to each other using group clips
