Reversed clip jerky

Wed Oct 16, 2013 2:48 pm
I have reversed a DNxHD 1080p 25 fps clip using "Clip Jobs - Reverse Clip" and noticed a certain jerkiness of the final rendered result that the original clip doesn't have.

When I render the .mlt reversed clip to DNxHD and use the rendered clip instead of the .mlt clip, the final rendered result plays as smooth as the original clip.

I wonder if this is a known issue?

Cheers,
Torsten

Is the source video interlaced? I recall that I might had such an issue with interlaced footage and had some success fixing it by forcing a field order (clip properties - advanced)

The source is progressive.

Usually I render a reversed .mlt clip and use it instead of the .mlt, also because I had issues with the speed effect applied to a reversed .mlt clip, so I never noticed the jerkiness.
