I am having a problem using the stabilize features of Kdenlive. The same thing happens no matter what paramaters I put in the transcode stabilize and no matter what value shutter angle I use the video clip always comes out slowed down or maybe to better describe it as if it is missing frames so not running smoothly.
I am probably doing something wrong. Does it have anything to do with the format of the clips? Or am I using too small values? I used shutter angle of 5, 10, 2 and 15. And in the transcode I played around with the values a few times reading the explanation here: http://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Project_Menu/Stabilize |

Are you looking at the rendered result or just playing the stabilized .mlt clip in the project monitor in a preview?
It is not clear in the manual but running the stablize job on the clip creates a .mlt file that describes what needs to happen to the file to stabilize it when you render the clip. What you need to do is load that .mlt file into the clip monitor and then put that clip on your timeline and render it. I don't think kdnelive can handle this data in real time when you play back the .mlt file in a preview. It can be choppy as hell. But you might find that when you render the clip Kdenlive can take its time and it will produce a decent stablizied clip. The default settings for the stabilize functionality are pretty good. |

I don't render it, I play the .mlt clip back in the project monitor preview and it is all choppy as you say. I didn't think of rendering it since I won't use it in my video if it is shaky or choppy. I will try rendering and see what happens.
