Coloring effects fading in?

Sun Jan 18, 2015 9:11 pm
I did some test shots today for possible shooting locations and to practice coloring more. I noticed that the rendered file is doing something starnge. It looks as if all the color effects, or at least the contrast, fade in once the clip plays? It's something you need to see so a link is below. Thanks for the help!

Can't really help on this unless you supply more details about what you have done in your project and what you expect.

The clips all have the same effects added. Saturation, contrast, curves & letterbox. As far as what I expect, I just want the effects to work. The main issue seems to be with contrast. As you can see in the clip all the shadows darken as each clip is played. I haven't done much color work with the software but I've never seen anything like this.

Do you see this issue with just the contrast effect added?

Perhaps having the effect in play just makes it easier to see a natural change in contrast that the original clips have - maybe?

Do you have any transitions in the clip?

You should try and isolate what is causing the effect - produce a project with the minimal amount of stuff that produces the problem.

I just ended up removing the contrast from each clip and then added it back and it fixed the issue. Luckily this was a small edit. There were no transitions in the clips. I still have no idea what caused it?
