Hiya, I've been trying to look to see if there's anyway I can do this sort of effect in Kdenlive for a while now but not had much luck.
I'll try and explain it better - apologies, I'm very much an amateur editor working on personal projects so my knowledge of the exacts terms is limited: I basically want to distort or grow a local area of a video - in this instance, have the area around this guy's chest expand a bit. Or even the whole chest if it's easier. I know I can use rotoscoping to select an area, I can motion track the chest using Automask, but I can't see if there's anyway to then distort the selection. I haven't tried it yet, but I was thinking about playing about with pan and zoom, have the same bit of video composited over the original and then have it zoom in and out on keyframes while trying to keyframe the composite (I guss with rotoscope?). I don't think it will quite get the effect I want though. I guess if none of that still makes sense, then think of it when Popeye eats spinach. Any ideas would be great as apparently my Google Fu is not strong enough for it. |
