Hello,
I am unsure if my problem is because of a bug or if I have something mis-configured. Everything else seems to work great, but soon as I clisk on Pan & Zoom the program crashes. This is what happens when I run the program in terminal.
I need to get this working. This one issue is what is currently keeping me from having my entire workflow in linux. Thanks for the help. |

I am running Version 15.08.1 on ubuntu mate 15.10. I noticed some of the other transform effects do the same thing. I am trying to edit minidv footage I capture by running dvgrab in terminal. I then import the dv footage into kdenlive. I have also been unable to capture in kdenlive so if someone has a good link on how to make that work, it would be fantastic. Here is a spec report:
I have 4gb of ram coming in the mail soon, maybe that will help? Thanks for any input. |

How did you instal kdenlive?
Because this line is what I think the problem is file:///usr/share/kdenlive/kdenlivemonitoreffectscene.qml:1:1: module "QtQuick" is not installed You are missing QtQuick. So we need to figure out what package gives you that. [strike:****]The latest kdenlive uses ver 5 of Qt.[/strike:****]I wonder what version you have. What do you see in your package manager if you search for "qt" edit: see my follow up below. I speak in error here |

Thanks for the help so far. I have Qt version 4.8.6. I am trying to figure out how to upgrade it currently.

Whoops. I might be confusing Qt versions with kde frame works versions. Kdenlive 15.nn versions need kde frameworks 5 (KF5). Not sure now about Qt versions and Qt quick.
You might need to do some research on that. edit: Wikipedia tells me qt quick comes with Qt4.7 so you should have it. I dunno what is going on. Defect maybe |

ttguy, you are correct: KF5 requires Qt5 to the best of my knowledge. There is also a caveat to know: recent mlt needs to be compiled and linked against Qt5 too, this seems also to be a constant cause of crashed with some distros where the maintainers do not pay proper attention.

im compiling a open suse leap 42.1 system with kde built into it. I will see if that makes any differences for me.
