I simply want to rotate a video project. But when I search for "rot" in the Effects List, all it brings up is Rotoscoping which is not what I want. When I expand the "Crop and transform" effects list, all it shows are four options:
Edge Crop LetterB0xed nosync0r Why am I missing some basic effects like Rotate and Shear? Is there some library I need to install to enable the rest of the effects? |

Hi, ttguy, thanks for your response. I don't recall what I did when I originally encountered this problem more than a year ago, but now I am back at the same problem, after I have completely reinstalled Sabayon. So I did some checking. I do have frei0r-plugins installed. But when I query the files from that package, I don't see any kind of rotate library in there:
So unless the rotate effect comes from some other library provided by frei0r-plugins, or from some other package, so far I cannot find a corresponding library which would provide that feature. Is anyone else seeing the same problem? Thanks. |

I was able to rotate my video using OpenShot. But it is still a mystery to me as to why the rotate effect is missing whenever I install kdenlive.
