Hi there, i m still scared of the new kdenlive version and want to wait a little longer till i migrate, also because generally i m totally happy with 0.9.10 and it s quite stable on my system (bunsenlabs debian stable..)
BUT i have one question: is there any way to switch on / off effects globally for all the clips and regions? I m always checking and adjusting color while i m editing to "see" what it will look like at the end. then when i m editing i turn off the effects manually to not have any stuttering while editing.. but this is a lot of work... hope you have some advice for me thanks |

I don;'t think there is. However, if you apply effects to tracks instead of clips and then group the effects you should be able to turn off all effects on a per track basis fairly easily. |

thanks for your answer!
yes that would be possible. only thing is: i basically just use color correction as an effect, and apply that to the clips in the time line to archive matched colors etc-.... guess for now i ll have to stay with my complicated workflow and will see how it will be in the kdenlive 15/16 in the future... |

IMHO there is no plan yet for such a feature, but probably only because there isn't yet a clear idea how to offer such a feature UI-wise. So if you do have already an idea in mind on how this could work, please file a small bug report for a feature request, describing your idea and how it may be done in the UI. The developers usually pick up neat ideas when doable. Filing a bug report isn't difficult.
For instance, you could propose to have a new context menu item to toggle effects in the current selection. And another to toggle in the current region. Also, such functions could be offered as actions, so users could assign toolbar buttons to them. Just a suggestion... |

Ok I filed a bug report about it,
if someone wants to add something to it etc, it is here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357899 EDIT WITH GOOD NEWS: As Jean-Baptiste Mardelle pointed out , there s already both implemented: bypass bin effects and bypass timeline effects. So I just need to set up two shortcuts for these functions and can easily colorgrade on the fly while editing, FANTASTIC!! https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=96625&action=edit https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=96624&action=edit |
